Christopher Peter Meloni (born Christopher Peter Meloni) is an American Actor, best known as a character on the well-known television series Law and Order Special Victims Unit. His passion for acting started during his college years. He studied acting at University of Colorado at Boulder. His television characters have earned him plenty of attention. The actor has the ability to play characters from both good and bad aspects of the legal system. He can capture the audiences attention easily. His first project was a TV serial but he later played a detective for the NYPD. In recognition of his performance on the small screen, he's been up for nomination several times for the prestigious Emmy Awards. Eyes that are piercing blue on his face have been deemed to be his most attractive characteristic. These have been used for portraying rough characters, and give them charisma. People's magazine's 2006 list for Sexiest Men Alive included him.
